Soccer Teams Fight Breast Cancer

Teams donate $5,300 for breast cancer research

On an emotional Senior Night on Saturday in Danville, Ky., the men's soccer teams at Centre College and Austin College donated $5,300 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, in part to honor Sue Hauck, the mother of senior midfielder Robbie Crump (St. Xavier).

Hauck died of breast cancer this fall.

Crump, who hadn't scored all season, booted the game-winning goal in overtime as Centre won 3-2.

"I have to believe that his mother was looking down with a smile," Centre coach Jeb Burch said in a release. "This is a truly amazing story, one I will never forget in my lifetime."
